IVETI FOREST

This being the second highest peak in Machakos County, the forest is famed for its scenic peaks, cedar trees, pine trees and the exceptional romantic view that’s a worth a sunrise hike or a sunrise hike and you’ll see awe-inspiring sights and enjoy the beautifully lit Machakos town and Mombasa road at night. Enjoy it by campsite fires at night and watch the stars on a clear sky or see a blanket of clouds pass by above the trees while mist creeps in around you. Almost at the top of the forest hill the first turn to your left on a dusty road junction you’ll find the famous “miti muonza” (seven trees) which have been there over eight decades.
