KIIMA KIMWE (HILL OF DEW)

KIIMA KIMWE (HILL OF DEW)

It’s a dormant volcano part of the broken ranges that surround Machakos town formerly known as “Ulu”. This hill was home to the late foreseer Masaku of the Iluvya family. Since the hill stands alone from its top you get to enjoy the beauty of Machakos town as well as Mombasa road. It’s also a good hill for beginner hikers. On top of this hill is the shrine that was used for sacrifices by the Kamba during the pre-colonial era.
