LUKENYA HILLS

Lukenya is famous for its boulders, and the Mountain Club of Kenya has its own site in the Lukenya Hills. with members travelling here most weekends for a spot of rock climbing and camping. Approximately 32kms East of Nairobi, just off the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. This hill offers climbers rock faces of all difficulties from ‘Jacobs ladder’ to a Rock face that’s said to be the most difficult in the region! The hill a offers hiking trails and a camping site. Accommodation nearby includes ‘Acacia Camp', Kusyombunguo Getaway (off the highway), and Maanzoni Lodge about 10kms away just off the highway.
